Cozy Afternoons

Living for these moments.

A Cozy Coffee Shop for Introverts

What’s something you would attempt if you were guaranteed not to fail.

Just a cozy haven with all my favorite things, for people like me who would love to be surrounded by people, but prefer not to be bothered.

Picture this. The strong scent of coffee and chocolate and sweet treats. Lo-fi jazz music constantly playing in the background. Big glass windows that allow natural sunlight to illuminate the cafe. In the evenings, the area is lit with warm soft glow lights, perfect for those romantic date nights.

Baristas who won’t do small talk unless the customer initiates it. A self-service bar for those who prefer not to have interaction.

Tall shelves full of fiction and non-fiction books that clients can borrow (and maybe Kindle or something for those who like ebooks). A dedicated reading corner where everyone is expected to be quiet.

A garden full of colorful flowers in the backyard, with cute glass coffee tables and chairs where people can relax.

A cat corner where patrons can snuggle with rescued cats (and sign up to adopt them if they would like).

A movie corner where people can watch a flick together; patrons will vote what movie to play.

A gaming corner where customers can hire a console to play alone, or they can verse one another, or take turns, or simply watch while others play.

I would like to create a third space where we can go about our lives but still be surrounded by other humans, even in this digital age. If it is guaranteed that such a business will be profitable, then I’d do it in a heartbeat.
